Frozen feeders need careful handling. We ship in insulated poly boxes with ice packs so your order arrives cold and in good order across South Africa.
- Dispatch: Monday to Wednesday only — so parcels spend less time in depots over weekends.
- Orders later in the week: ship the following Monday.
- Collection: Randburg, Gauteng — choose Collection at checkout to skip insulated packaging fees.
- Storage: Keep at −18°C and use within 6 months.
Frequently asked questions
Will my order arrive in good condition?
We pack with ice packs in insulated boxes so orders arrive cold and in good order for the freezer. In warm weather a little surface softening can happen — put the parcel straight into the freezer on arrival. Report damaged parcels within 24 hours with your order number and photos.
How do I choose mouse or rat sizes?
Match prey width to the thickest part of your snake. Start with our size guides — mice from pinkies to XL adults; rats from pinkies to jumbo.
Can I switch from live to frozen?
Yes. Frozen-thawed prey is safer and more humane. Thaw fully in the fridge or cool water; warm to room temperature before offering. Never microwave or refreeze thawed prey.
