Our mice are frozen quickly after processing to help preserve nutritional quality, then shipped in insulated packaging with ice packs to keep them solidly frozen in transit anywhere in South Africa.
Choosing a size
- Pinkies — newborn mice, ideal for hatchling snakes and small species
- Fuzzies — juveniles with light fur, for young snakes stepping up from pinkies
- Hopper — growing sub-adults
- Weaner — larger juveniles, suited to medium-sized snakes
- Adult — mature mice for adult corn snakes, house snakes and similar species
- XL Adult — our largest mice, for bigger adult snakes
As a rule of thumb, feed prey roughly as wide as the thickest part of your snake’s body. If you’re between sizes, size down and feed a little more often.
Feeding and storage
Store at -18°C and use within 6 months of purchase. Thaw fully in the fridge overnight or in cool water, then warm to room temperature before offering. Never microwave, and never refreeze thawed prey.
Frozen-thawed prey is safer than live feeding — no risk of bites or scratches to your reptile — and more humane than live feeding.
Dispatch is Monday–Wednesday. Full details on Shipping & FAQs.
