Frozen whole prey rats in ten sizes, from pinkies to jumbo. Available in packs of 5 or 10.
Our rats are frozen quickly after processing and shipped in insulated packaging with ice packs, so they arrive solidly frozen anywhere in South Africa.
Choosing a size
- Pinkie — newborn rats, for hatchling and small snakes
- Fuzzies — juveniles with light fur
- Pups — young, growing rats
- Weaner — sub-adults, for medium-sized snakes
- Small – Medium — for growing pythons and boas
- Large – X Large – XX Large — for larger pythons and boas
- Jumbo — our largest rats, for big adult pythons and boas
Feed prey roughly as wide as the thickest part of your snake’s body. If you’re between sizes, size down and feed a little more often.
Feeding and storage
Store at -18°C and use within 6 months of purchase. Thaw fully in the fridge overnight or in cool water, then warm to room temperature before offering. Never microwave, and never refreeze thawed prey.
